You should dance at the Awa Odori Hall !!

I have been to Tokushima several times, but I have never been to the Awa Odori Hall. So, this was my first visit.

Awa Odori Hall is about 15 minutes walk from Tokushima station, at the foot of Mt. Bisan. Across from the building, there is a roof with a hat motif worn by female dancers. It's so cute !

Inside, there is a souvenir shop and a museum to introduce the history of Awa Odori. More than anything else, what you absolutely must see is the Awa Odori dance stage, which holds performances everyday.

You can see a performance by the Awa Odori Hall's team and famous teams. Not only the dynamic dancing, but also the musical accompaniment such as shamisen, shinobue, drums and kane excites us. The fee for one performance is 800 yen for 40 min. during daytime, 1,000 yen for 50 min. during night time.

You must want to dance after watching the performance. At the end of the performance, they teach you how to dance and you all dance together. That is so much fun !

By the way, do you know the famous Awa Odori shouting, " If we are all fools, we must dance? " （踊る阿呆に見る阿呆、同じ阿呆なら踊らにゃ損々）

You should act like an idiot and dance with them !!
