About Onoji town and "The Onoji Bamboo Club"
Onoji town is located in Machida City, about an hour from the center of Tokyo by train and bus. It prospered as an inn town in the Edo period (1600-1868）, and this area is rich in nature and still retains the atmosphere of the old days.
"The Onoji Bamboo Club（小野路竹倶楽部）", a citizens' group that aims to enjoy bamboo as a theme in this Onoji area, will hold a hands-on "Shinobue Making Workshop".
