October 8 is World Shakuhachi Day, a day to celebrate the shakuhachi. Enthusiasts from all over the world, regardless of style, nationality, age, experience, whether professional or amateur, will gather to play together. This year, they are holding a 24-hour online gathering to make it easier for people from across the globe to participate.

10-Minute Performance Slots Available!
Looking for performers! Solo and ensemble acts are welcome to sign up for 10-minute time slots. If you're interested in participating, please reach out with your piece's preferred time and title. The slots are available from 11:00 Japan Standard Time (JST) on October 8 till 9:30 JST on October 9.

10:08 AM: Worldwide 108×robuki (a breathing exercise with the shakuhachi)
10:40 AM: Presentation: the shakuhachi around the world
11:00 AM: 10-minute performance slots (throughout the day)
