Born in 1977 in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture. Lives in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Spent his junior high and high school years in a wind band. In high school, he was a member of the light music club and became interested in jazz.
Majored in wind instruments (TUBA) at Shobi Gakuen Junior College (now Shobi Gakuen University). He was the leader of a big band and also arranged music.
In the summer of 1998, he traveled to Aomori and saw the "Nebuta" festival. Impressed by the splendor of Japanese music, he started playing the shinobue flute in a lion dance in his hometown of Saitama.
In 2005, in search of a shinobue more compatible with Western instruments, he began making his own shinobue.
In addition to making shinobue, he also focuses on events and projects to promote shinobue.
